At times, you just find yourselves on a group chat on WhatsApp without even knowing the person that added you to the group. They start creating nuisance on the group, sending stickers, photos and Videos of hight MB. Like, it’s always messy.
And many WhatsApp users media are auto download, which means that any video, photo or voice note(download by default) will be downloaded even before the user open the chat preferably user is connected with data or wifi.

WhatsApp is equipped with many privacy features, such that you can hide your photo, about and last seen. This means that you can choose between who you want to be seeing all this aforementioned or you can decide not to allow anyone see it at all depending on the option you choose.
So, there is also a privacy settings for group, such that, you choose who you want to be able to add you to the group.
So in this article, I will teach you how to prevent strangers on anyone from adding you to any WhatsApp group without your permission.
Step 1. On WhatsApp for Android, tap the three-dot menu at the top right side, then tap on Settings.
Step 2. In the WhatsApp Settings menu, tap on the Account setting. Now tap on Privacy and select the Groups option.
Step 3. Check your privacy settings for the groups section. By default, the setting would be Everyone, but that means everyone can add you as long as they have your number.
Here, you can select “My Contacts”, which means that only those who have your contact and you have their contact can add you to the group or you can also select “My contacts except” option, which means that you can exclude some of your contact from adding you to any group created by them.
If you choose My Contacts or My Contacts Except option, these people will be prompted to send you the group invite through a private chat. You will then have three days to accept or deny the request for joining the group before it expires.
