Choose an amount of time to unsend an Email message

Have you ever mistakenly send a mail and after sending the mail you remember to add or remove a sentence, documents etc, you send it to a wrong contact , you misspelt a word or you click on “reply all”? And immediately you realize the mistake, the time to hit the “undo” button has already elapsed?

The worst of it all is if you’re job hunting, and God finally remember you, then you’re told to send a mail to so so address with you CV and cover letter. Then in your cover letter you later realized you write another company’s name instead of the company’s name you’re applying to.
You know the feelings right?

Now, you know that, just a few seconds to unsend the email will be really appreciated.
Gmail offers a standard five-second chance to allow you to change your mind and unsend the email, but if you feel that you need a little more time, you can adjust it and easily change it to the time you want.
Note: You do this using the web version on Gmail. If you’re using your phone to do this settings, you can do this by opening your Gmail on chrome and change to desktop version. This will makes it look like you’re on your system.Steps to follow
1. Click on the “Settings” cogwheel in the upper right corner, and on “See all settings.”

2. Under the “General” tab, look for “Undo Send.”

3. Choose how long you’d like Gmail to give you to change your mind: you can select five seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, or 30 seconds.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Save Changes.”
When you click on send, you’ll see a button in the lower left corner to “Undo” your email that will last for the time you set; it will also be available in the mobile app.
